Craig Stephen
Executive Director
Craig brings his 25 years of experience in developing and leading One Health collaborations in Canada and internationally to the Institute. His role is to shepherd ideas and people to bring the ideals of the Institute to life. His academic and practice work has emphasized moving population health concepts across and between sectors to promote health and reduce harms arising from global threats such as emerging diseases, food insecurity and climate change. Jay Cross
Chief Instigation Officer
Jay’s role is to urge forward good ideas and partnerships to provoke action. He is an expert in animal reproduction and molecular genetics and the founding Director of the Alberta Children’s Hospital Research Institute of Child & Maternal Health. Jay is ta Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada. He is the recipient for multiple awards for research excellence.
N. Ole Nielsen
Ole is a founding member of our board and driving thinker of the changes envisioned by the Institute. He has been a passionate advocate within the veterinary profession for its greater involvement in ecosystem health and ecological medicine. His is a leading thinker on innovations ion veterinary education. His achievements have been recognized through honorary degrees and membership in the Oder of Canada.
